In life threatening situations there are times when a soldier has to react within a split second... take off or divest his body armor either to allow for faster movement or decrease weight. Situations like emergency evacuation of a sea vessel, during tactical operations in hostile terrain when he has to swim or wade through or when he faces a near drowning situation, when caught in branches or debris or overturned/submerged vehicles, when medics need to treat wounded soldiers, etc. The conventional ballistic over-vests are cumbersome to put on or off.
Instavest from MKU is a tactical load bearing ballistic over- vest with MOLLE system. It is a result of extensive R&D and user feedbacks. It uses a unique snap-off release system, which when engaged, results in an immediate release of the over-vest from the body. It is equally simple to reassemble and wear it on again... quickly. Its ergonomic design allows for very comfortable body movements, good ventilation & heat dissipation. Suitable material used in its construction makes this over-vest an excellent all round performer in extreme weather conditions ranging from sub zero to 500c.
Its anthropometric design ensures that it does not interfere with NBC gear and is compatible with aircraft & ground infantry vehicles during aerial delivery operations. Care has been taken to avoid usage of any metallic components in the over-vest to avoid secondary fragments..
